There can be a lot of angst among the opposition party about how to treat those who voted for Trump and are now seeing the light as he goes about smashing things. Essentially, do we still “go high”? Or do we welcome those people into the resistance in the hopes that eventually we will have enough people to turn the tide?

The gist is that we can feed the “bad wolf” and tell those people “we told you so!” or we can feed the good wolf and show empathy for those people caught up in Trump’s scam. I understand wanting to only feed the good wolf, but I think he is missing an important point: that those people have fallen for the scam many times now and welcoming will not prevent them from falling for it again.
